Netbooks are both suited for general computing and accessing web-based applications. At their inception in late 2007, netbooks usually omitted optical drives, featured smaller screens and keyboards, and offered reduced specification and computing power. Over the last few years, however, netbooks have now amassed more respectable specs, and I have seen them as low as $149 with 2 year wireless contracts.
